Director Jacen Tan wants you to imagine a Singapore overrun by zombies. Specifically, a zombie apocalypse will be unleashed in a local army camp, which is the setting for Tan’s horror-comedy film .Zombiepura, the 'first Singaporean zombie film' (oh come on, I've seen simply dozens!), falls into a trap that many horror-comedies have done down the years. It's the tone, man. It starts off all jokey and funny, even after the chomping starts, but it hits a point in the final third where it feels the need to go all sad and serious and sticks .

Zombiepura doesn't take itself seriously and mocks the toxic values within the local military culture (e.g. "act blur, live longer"). The heart stopping action scenes are top-notch with professional stunt work and realistic choreography. Little nods to other famous zombie movies were a treat for keen-eyed fans!
